Seaside and Consortium
Partnership between the Consortium of Cape School District and Seaside Church provides training for parents of children with special needs. Seaside obtained a grant to pay for the Pyramid Approach Overview and PECS Overview (Picture Exchange Communication System). This class was requested by the Consortium for the parents in order to help the parents better understand how and why their children are taught the way they are in the school system. Without this parental understanding the child comes home and could be taught contradicting ways to use the Picture Exchange Communication System causing the child to take longer to find a way to communicate. Seaside wishes to thank PYRAMID for working with us on the pricing for the combined classes. The parents who attended were very appreciative and learned a lot.
Seaside Church has an all inclusive worship for the entire family of children with special needs. They are not segregated, but instead are accepted and nurtured as the whole family worships together with the congregation. Seaside would like families with special needs to know “noises your child may make” will not bother us. We invite you worship with us as a family.
HAS MOVED TO
LEWES SENIOR CENTER
Drive past Lewes Fire Station 2 about 1/3 mile, through the left hand curve and we will be on the right hand side.
Well, kinda hardy. After eating all the food available at the December 2010 cover dish, it would have been easier to take a nap than to party. 43 members and guests participated in the annual Christmas Tree Ornament exchange. Tons of fun. SEE VIDEO
FRENCH FRIES FOR FIRE SAFETY DAY IN LEWES
Feeding God's people at Fire Safety Day. Good food, good friends and we hope everyone learned more about FIRE SAFETY
COOKOUT & MEN TOO
Cookout at Corrine Tavener's house included the men as well and a co-ed Bible Knowledge game. The women won but we all had a good time and the food was wonderful.
Nine of our young people have complete a mandatory bible study, SURVIVAL KIT, and receive new bibles. They are now members in good standing of SEASIDE CHURCH. Welcome, Welcome. We Love You.

JULY 4, 2010
Seaside Church once again was pleased to help celebrate the 4th of
July with the Kids and residents of Lewes. 210# of fries and 25
gallons of lemonade and water were served. A whole bunch of ice
was required to keep cold things cold. Hot fries never got a
chance to cool off. They were GONE. Balloons couldn't be
filled quick enough to keep up with the demand and Jen always had a line
of kids waiting to get their faces painted.

FREE - PANCAKES - FREE
Saturday, June 5th
For the first time Seaside is using the church site for community activities. This time it was a free pancake breakfast. If all the folks looking for yard sales had stayed we would have had a really big crowd. As it was we had some takers and a wonderful opportunity to fellowship and test our capabilities to serve the community. Don't worry, the 'sock lady' is coming up with more and better things to do to show that Seaside is an important part of the community. SEE PHOTOS
SEASIDE YOUTH DOING
From bowling to picnicking to baseball games to just plain having fun the Youth of Seaside led by Sue and Bill McTheny are having a ball. June 6 service boasted 30% attendance by the youth. See the Show
